1. What programmes does YogaTTS offer?
At YogaTTS we specialize in delivering high-quality yoga teaching training and professional development.
-
Our flagship offering is the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) course, designed to give you the skills and knowledge to teach yoga safely and confidently.
-
We also run Continuing Professional Development (CPD) workshops, retreats, and specialized short courses for practicing teachers or experienced students.
2. What are the entry requirements for the 200-hour YTT?
To enroll in the 200-hour YTT:
-
You should have a minimum of two years’ regular yoga practice (does not have to be specifically Ashtanga).
-
There are no upper or lower age limits.
-
After you apply, we’ll arrange a short call to answer your questions, check suitability and help you prepare.
3. What is the duration and structure of the YTT course?
-
The 200-hour course runs over approximately 10 months, broken into weekend modules (typically 10 weekends).
-
Modules are held on Saturday and Sunday (for example: Saturday 9 am-1 pm; Sunday 9 am-6 pm) in the sample schedule.
-
In addition to the weekend training, you will be required to complete homework/assignments, attend a First Aid course, and observe / assist in classes for at least 15 hours.
4. Where are the courses held?
Our courses take place at the attractive Sadie Centre (formerly the Letchworth Centre for Healthy Living) in Hertfordshire, UK, set in serene countryside grounds.
5. How much does the YTT cost and what does it include?
-
The total fee for the 200-hour YTT is £2,500.
-
Payments: An initial deposit of £250 (non-refundable) reserves your place. Then either full payment 30 days before start, or a payment plan (e.g., monthly payments) may be available.
-
What’s included: All tuition, mentoring, course manuals, handouts and non-asana specific equipment (e.g., cords, nets) are included.
-
What’s not included: First Aid course cost, external workshop costs, books and your personal yoga mat/bag.
6. How many students are there per course?
We keep our groups small to ensure individual attention and a quality experience. The maximum class size is 12 students.
7. What styles of yoga will I learn and teach?
-
We emphasise the fundamentals of a safe, solid practice—including alignment, anatomy, philosophy and teaching methods.
-
While the course includes the Ashtanga Primary Series, we also cover Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga and basic Ayurvedic and Thai massage techniques to round out your body‐work knowledge.
8. What support is provided after the training finishes?
We recognize that graduating is just the start of your teaching journey. As part of our “Foundation Plus” upgrade, we offer one-year post-course mentoring, ongoing support and free drop-in classes.
9. Can I attend if I’m new to yoga or haven’t practiced much?
The teacher-training course requires a foundation of practice (minimum two years). If you’re newer to yoga, we recommend starting with regular classes or an introductory course/workshop, then return to apply when you feel ready.
10. What about refunds and cancellations?
-
The deposit (£250) is non-refundable.
-
Refunds for the full course are only available under exceptional circumstances and are at the tutor’s discretion.
-
If you need to cancel or transfer your place, please get in touch as soon as possible so we can discuss options.
11. What should I bring to the course weekends?
-
Your mat, yoga bag, comfortable clothing.
-
Any props you prefer (blocks, straps, towels) though basic equipment is supplied.
-
Notebook, pen for assignments and study.
-
Optional: any personal items for your comfort during weekend retreats.
-
Please arrive with an open mind, curiosity and readiness to engage physically and philosophically!
